New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has decided to close borders until the end of the year to prevent her from entering the country.
New Zealand is the country that has successfully controlled the covid-19 epidemic in the world.
Explaining further, she said that it would help in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and keeping the economy open in the country.
Accordingly, the country will move towards a new risk-based model for a quarantine-free tour from next year, she said.
When the country reopens next year, it will work without restraint on tourists in low-risk countries. She also said that those coming from high-risk countries would be subjected to a 14-day curfew.
The Prime Minister also said that it is planned to complete the vaccination of the population by the end of this year.
New Zealand is already a successful country in controlling the Covid-19 virus. Of the population of less than five million, only 26 have been reported in Covid-19 deaths.
