Dietrich Mateschitz, who was the co-founder of the world-famous energy drink Red Bull, has passed away.
He was 78 years old when he died after a long illness.
Dietrich Mateschitz, who was born on May 20, 1944 in Austria, started the production of Red Bull energy drink in 1984 and is considered to be a person who loved the Formula motor racing.
Due to the desire for that, 20 years after the founding of the Red Bull company, Jaguar decided to buy the Formula One team and run it as Red Bull Racing.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner announced Dietrich’s death, saying: “It is with great sadness that we learn of Dietrich’s death, he was an incredible man, he loved Formula.”
