The largest cruise ships ever recorded in the world
Allure of the seas

Allure of the seas is owned and operated by Royal Caribbean international. Even though it’s one of many cruise ships under the same ownership. It certainly stands out in its own right. It is easily one of the largest cruise ships in the world.
In fact, at the end of 2009, it was given the title of the actual world’s largest cruise ship sitting at 1187 feet long and 236 feet high above the waterline.
The allure of the seas isn’t just well known because of its size though. There are so many things about it that just make it such a fascinating ship. For example, its interior is more like a town. There’s a theater with 1380 seats.
An ice skating rink a two-deck dance hall and 25 different dining options. The ship is even split into seven neighborhoods to make it easier to navigate.
If you’re missing the creature comforts of home you’ll likely find them on this ship since it even has a Starbucks coffee shop. When you’re on board it’s easy to forget you’re in the middle of the ocean not a township on solid ground.
Britannia

Britannia is a 1082 foot long cruise ship designed to cater to 3647 passengers and a crew of 1350. It might not be the largest cruise ship in existence but it certainly has plenty of offerings for those looking to escape on their dream holiday.

Have a good time with your friends in some of the bars and lounges or join the kids at the water park. Here you’ll find the longest water slide at sea and an entire deck for lounging encompassed by a swimming pool.
Norwegian breakaway

Norwegian breakaway was named the best cruise ship for families by the USA today. And we’re starting to see why that was such an appropriate title for it to have.
On its 18 decks spanning 1068.4 feet, there are so many things to see do and experience. You can lounge around in the restaurants and bars with 25 different dining experiences to enjoy on your trip.
You can even enjoy Broadway-style entertainment a sports complex with mini-golf and a rock wall and 24-hour butler service in some of the special rooms.
Have some me time in the spa go for a hot stone massage or treat yourself to a facial massage or acupuncture. Basically think of anything you want on a vacation and Norwegian breakaway will have it. That’s not to say this ship doesn’t have an unfortunate reputation for a few different reasons though.
A woman fell down two decks in 2013 and a four-year-old fell into a pool and drowned the following year. Another four-year-old boy fell off his bunk and suffered a head injury that same year. In 2018 a blizzard caused significant flooding and then it was caught up in a covid19 cluster after one person had to be medically evacuated and later died.
RMS queen mary 2

The RMS queen mary 2 is a beautiful British transatlantic ocean liner. That retains the title of the only purpose-built passenger ship for use as an ocean liner.
It was first launched in 2003 and has a regular route between Southampton and England and New York City in the United States.
This 1132 foot beauty is truly something special. Even down to its build quality.
Because it had to be designed as an ocean liner it needed around 40 percent more steel than what you’d use for a cruise ship.
Most people who have been on this ship would say the extra costs were completely worth it though. It has enough space for 2695 guests spread out over 18 total decks.
And what you’ll find on these decks will make you want to sign up for a cruise right away. Most of the passenger common areas are on the lower decks with the passenger rooms above.
Deck 2 has a theater, cinema, planetarium casino, pub and restaurant. The next deck up has even more restaurants and bars a nightclub and a shopping arcade. You’ll even find the largest library of any cruise ship with over 8000 books for vacationers to enjoy.
